WP payloads could reach much higher than the Volcano/UMLACA's warhead. In fact, we have documentation of the SAA using 500kg WP payloads.
http://brown-moses.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-syrian-air-forces-largest.html
http://www.cat-uxo.com/#/zab-500/4573358698Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16560859391032391947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4304138063571120909.post-3621463111691585142014-04-21T17:31:07.729+01:002014-04-21T17:31:07.729+01:00It should be noted that a WP projectile of this si...It should be noted that a WP projectile of this size would carry about 7 times as much WP by weight as the largest WP shell (155 mm) in NATO usage (100 lb+ vs 15). It would be the biggest WP weapon ever, basically. It's hard to see any military advantage to deploying WP in those kinds of per-munition quantities.BruceRhttp://www.snappingturtle.net/flitnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4304138063571120909.post-77911963405283125102013-09-22T12:39:29.625+01:002013-09-22T12:39:29.625+01:00Thanks!

"After around 30 minutes rockets hit the al-Mazraat area. When the explosion hit I heard a very low sound, it was like the sound of a helicopter buzzing, and not the sound of explosion…" Is it fair to assume that an explanation for this unusual sound is a by-product of spinning/rotation in the badly balanced UMLACA? Two comments.
Red phosphorous is ...A good report.

Two comments.

Red phosphorous is also used in some versions of smoke/pyro rounds. It does not auto-ignite and a dispersal of it in a carrier would look like brown splashes.

We have seen conventional incendiaries used continuously in the war - quite why I don't know as they were usually nowhere near anything good to burn down. I speculated then they were old stock and were being used for psychological warfare.

The second point is the construction of the missile. As your diagram shows (and as most others do as well) CW rounds are dispersed by a central column charge.

The use of a small charge at the very tip of the missile to disperse a very large quantity of liquid just doesn't make sense. The majority would not be aerosolized and would simply rain down in the immediate area.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
